Who We Are

Mission statement
Every heartbeat is a gift. For families facing congenital heart disease, the journey is fragile and uncertain. At Operation Heart, we care for these families with love — but also with the greatest message of hope: when you open your heart to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you are given life eternal, a heart healed forever

What we do
At Operation Heart, we come alongside families facing Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) with practical support and Christ-centered encouragement. We offer free Bibles, hospital visits, and prayer for those navigating some of life’s most difficult moments. Every effort is rooted in our mission to share hope and healing through Jesus.

Our Faith
At Operation Heart, our foundation is firmly rooted in the love and grace of Jesus Christ. We believe that even in the midst of life’s greatest trials—like the journey through congenital heart disease—God’s presence is real and His promises are true. His Word is our source of strength, comfort, and hope, guiding every step we take.
We put our hope in the Lord, trusting Him as our help and shield. In Him, our hearts rejoice because we trust in His holy name (Psalm 33:20-21). This truth sustains us through every surgery, every hospital stay, and every moment of fear or grief.
Prayer is the heartbeat of our ministry; it connects us with God’s power to bring healing, peace, and restoration to hurting families. Our mission is to reflect Christ’s love in tangible ways—offering compassion, support, and encouragement so that no family facing CHD ever feels alone.
Through faith, we believe even the smallest hearts can make the biggest impact, shining God’s light into the darkest places.
Our Team
Faith Shields is the heart behind Operation Heart, inspired by the journey of her precious daughter Nora and her miracle son Nash. After receiving the life-changing diagnosis of congenital heart defects during pregnancy, she turned her grief and faith into a mission to bring hope, support, and the love of Christ to families facing similar battles. Driven by her personal experience and unwavering trust in God, she leads Operation Heart with compassion and purpose, reminding families that even the smallest hearts can make the biggest impact.
